December 9, 2007Lagerfeld unvieled the Pre-Fall 2008 Chanel show in London. And again, while I adore vintage Chanel, I have trouble loving the new looks of Chanel. Piece by piece, I think it looks good, but through it all together and it just screams LINDSAY LOHAN!PARIS HILTON!HIPSTER!
You know? I think the right approach to these looks is by taking certain pieces, and applying it to your own garments. No need to go too trendy.
Certain celebrities can totally work the Chanel look, without going too far. For example, Vanessa Paradis, Thandie Newton, Babel’s Rinko Kikuchi, Natalie Portman, Kirsten Dunst, and youngsters like Emma Roberts, Emma Watson, and Emmy Rossum. Not to mention probably the whole cast of Gossip Girls. And there are millions more who rock the Chanel brand.
