another letdown
March 11, 2008It’s Tuesday, and you know what that means. You are probably expecting to see some pictures about this week’s Tuesday’s With Dorie pick, Russian Grandmother’s Apple-Pie Cake. But I’m sad to say that I let you down again. I know, I know, that makes TWO weeks in a row. I should be punished.
But in my defense, instead of baking this week’s pick, I just had to make this Cocoa Buttermilk Birthday cake with peanut butter frosting for my best friend’s birthday day. And what kind of friend would I be if I didn’t surprise her with copious amounts of sugar and chocolate?!
I promise, come rain or shine, I am in for next week’s pick. Scout’ s honor… Well, I’m not technically a girl scout, but whatever. You get my drift.
At least you baked, and served humanity by adding a chocolate dessert to the world!
sorry you couldn’t join us this week but it seems like you got your baking “fill” this weekend! next week we’re on to Peabody’s selection (yikes!).
