Catching up…

Where do I even start?

How about Thanksgiving plans. What are you all doing? I am heading to Brooklyn to cook and bake up a storm with an old high school friend. Can you believe that we both happen to be in New York at the same time? It’s a blessing to have her near and I can’t wait to get our feast going. Right now, our menu consists of: sweet potato salad, roasted green beans, creamy mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, turkey (duh), mushroom gravy, apple crumb pie and pumpkin pie.

I think my pants just popped thinking about it.

I’m a little sad that I have posted more here but to be honest, I don’t have the brain power for it. Between working 40 hours a week and being a full-time grad student, my brain tends to be fried by the time I get home.

However, I should say that I can’t wait to get home for Christmas break. I miss California and my quiet little home. I miss waking up to the smell of hot coffee, eating breakfast wile looking at the garden, and chatting with my friends over cheap beers. I’m only in town for 3 weeks but that should give me the kind of boost I need.

Anyways, I hope you all have a happy thanksgiving. Enjoy the time with your loved ones and the hearty meal. I plan on kicking off the baking season real soon here since Christmas is only a month away.

Jacqueline - Oh my, working full time and a full time grad student? Props for managing that — I could barely do full-time grad school + part time work! :)

I’m not sure where you’re from in CA, but I’m in the SF bay area, and it’s just rainy and dreary here. Definitely none of that snow magic that NYC can have. :) Hope you and your friend have a happy T-day!

Sasha - I was recently on the Sacramento city guide on the Design Sponge and came across your blog. I was so excited to find another blogger from Sactown. And then I saw you are living in New York and make the most delicious looking things. You’re fabulous! Right now I’m doing my undergrad at Davis, but I hope to go outside of California for grad school. I’ll be looking at your blog to see how your adventures go :)

Lindsey @ pickyeatings - Happy Thanksgiving! I don’t know how you do it, I’m working full time and in grad school part time….and the end of the semester can’t come soon enough! Kudos to you for keeping your blog going, I have taken a hiatus, maybe I’ll make a small comeback over winter break…maybe.

Amanda - hey! A fellow sactowner! yes I’m in nYC and having fun. I hope you are having fun at Davis. It’s a beautiful campus. I was going to attend that for my undergrad but my financial aid didn’t cover enough. Have fun!

Libby - Echoing Jacqueline– you seriously are a rockstar!

Your menu sounds divine. Cornbread stuffing is the best. I can’t make it home to California for Thanksgiving either, going home with a friend to Lexington, Mass. Straight up Pilgrim New England style :)

Time to break out the elastic pants.

Natalia - Happy Thanksgiving;

I give you alot of credit for working full time and attending school. It is not easy to do. Try to have a ball with your friend during the holidays. I am sure that you will make a delicious holiday dish. Try to recharge your holiday for these last weeks of the semester and have a great trip home!

P.S Keep your blog alive and interesting as ever with great pictures and updates.
