I had the pleasure of eating at Clinton St. Baking Company.

Folks, I waited 2 hours for these pancakes. TWO HOURS. For someone who never waits for anything, I was quite proud of myself.

stephanie - if you waited two hours, I hope they were good. Why two hour wait? Long line? They took two hours to make?
Marguerite - I have wanted to visit Clinton St. for ages! But alas, I don’t get to New York as often as I would like. Might be time for me to make some pancakes.
Rose D - LOL…Sounds like me–I HATE to wait for food, but I hear their food is wonderful. Now I want the cookbook!
Maddie - I’ve heard such good things about this place—lucky you! But were the pancakes worth the two-hour wait? (They do look rather amazing…)
Dorothee - Did you stand on line for a table? Something I can totally understand for pancakes, but since I’m very far away across the ocean I don’t really get, how you could have to wait so long. Is the store so full? Sorry for boring questions, but I’m honestly curious!
Jacqueline - I will echo the chorus – worth it? They look like they would be!
Amanda - I want to say that they were worth it.
BUT.
Sadly they weren’t. However I blame it on my choice. I should have gone with the blueberry pancakes instead of the banana ones.
Amanda - they were ok, but if you go I’d recommend the blueberry ones. These banana pancakes were not my favorite.
jordan - i used to live a few blocks away from clinton street bakery and if we ever went it was a night before plan. we’d plan to meet at 9 or 9:30 to get our names on the list. i think one of my favorite breakfasts in NYC was there with my boyfriend, roommate and two friends of ours who had recently gotten engaged. the 5 of us squished into a four top booth and noshed on great breakfast. i’m pretty sure there was a banana pancake on the table, can’t remember if it was liked or not. i think i had the southern bfast and really enjoyed it. i’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your pancakes! don’t let that hinder you from going back!
Amanda - Hi Jordan,
I am planning on going back definitely! I want to try the brioche french toast and the eggs benedict. Yum!
woman - Wow… this is so yummy… I am really gonna try this …
feastonthecheap - I’m amazed they were worth the wait! Two hours takes some serious patience…
