This Wednesday, I’m headed back to California to celebrate my best friend’s wedding. On Saturday, amongst her family and closest friends, she and her fiancé (who I’ve also known since I was 13) will be married in the gorgeous California mountains and I am so excited!

You guys, I can’t even type that without getting all sentimental. To say that Julia is my dearest, closest friend is an understatement. For the past 11 years, she’s been the one person who I can count on, the one person who has always been there to support me and all my decisions, no matter how crazy they’ve been. She’s been the one who made high school not so brutal, who stayed up late watching bad reality tv with me, who went to summer concerts in the dead of August with me, who steered me back on the right course after making terrible decisions. Not only is she extremely kind, but she is the most positive person I’ve ever met, not in a weird way. Just a realistic optimistic, if you will.

So when she told me that she was engaged last winter, I was so thrilled for her because she deserves nothing but the best. For the girl who has been the bestest gal a friend could I ask for, I’m sending her countless warm wishes and years and years of happiness.

Now where’s the champagne?!
