About

Raised on Betty Crocker cake mixes and Pillsbury cookie logs, I started this blog in 2007 as a way to document my adventures in the kitchen. My kitchen mantra has been to try until I burn the house down. Which, thankfully, has yet to happen. My work has been featured over at the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau, Apartment Therapy’s TheKitchn, Slashfood, Serious Eats, Food Gawker, and Tastespotting.
To date, my favorite recipes have been bacon cheddar cornbread, thai chicken curry, the best EVER chocolate chip cookies, bittersweet brownies, andone-bowl chocolate cupcakes.

When not making a mess in the kitchen, you can find me working hard in a pretty cool California agency, roaming the streets of Sacramento, California, or drooling over clothes at Anthropologie. In late 2010, I will be moving to New York City to pursue my masters degree.

I love coffee, laughter, Donald Draper, happy hour, red lips, dark chocolate, the smell of vanilla, champagne, Fiona Apple. In that order.
