Embracing color has never been my strong suit.
In fact, if you peer into my tiny closet, you’d see an abundance of black and white. Staples, I’d like to call them. However, with a new found attitude towards adopting a more personality-filled wardrobe, I’m slowly but surely adding in more pieces of color. Hence this new series called Color Combinations. Color doesn’t have to be scary nor does it have to be flashy. Office, dates, brunch, school. Color fits into party of your life, it’s just a matter of finding the right combination.
Today, I want to explore the two colors that I think can be the hardest to pull off: tan & blush. Fair-skinned gals like myself don’t embrace these colors as much because we fear being washed out. However, the two colors can work on any skin tone; it’s just a matter of balance and really great makeup. My coworker Taylor wore this lovely dress by Joie and I instantly fell in love. Lace can feel a little too frilly but the modern hemline and easy fit make this one a keeper. And the DV sandals are on the top of my must-buy list.
