Fruity Chocolate Bark
What is a bark? Bark is a candy with rough, jagged edges and irregularly scattered toppings that are part of the appeal.
What are the ingredients you require?
● 8 ounces of very finely chopped dark chocolate
● 1 cup frozen dry fruit, large pieces roughly chopped
How do you make it?
Gently melt the chocolate in a microwave on the lowest possible heat setting. Stir it regularly, removing it from the heat. You need to make sure that the temperature is under 90 degrees. Chocolate, above 90 degrees will lose its temper. You should be patient and should keep stirring. Give it time and the chocolate will melt eventually.
Once it’s done, pour the chocolate onto a platform, preferably a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread it into an even layer.
After that, sprinkle the freeze-dried fruit evenly on the bark. Leave it 2 or 3 hours at room temperature until it sets. Break it into serving pieces.
This particular dish can be best enjoyed with a day or two because when exposed to humidity, the fruit will begin to soften. The bark, however, is good for a week but the fruit might get softer after a few days out in the open.
